____________________ SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT
An article by Ozzie Freedom
If you're using one of the not-so-popular browsers to visit here, you may see weird things, as if we've left an unfinished design job. You may be thinking that we haven't done our damnest to clean the code... But we did!
By hand. Line by line.
Go figure. Clean code with weird results. It's crazy.
Today's computers and associated products are loaded with bugs. Bugs of greater types and numbers than developers and merchants would admit... But wait, it gets even worse. Computers, even when they do work somehow, are very incompatible with one another.
These machines and networks drive you crazy (how do I know? Because I'm just like you). Users and administrators are confronted daily with things they don't understand and cannot control. The worst bug of all...
...back in 1999, used to be Y2K.
The Y2K bug has been known since the early 50's - but has not been terminated, because of the shortsighted interests of industry leaders who led us into a dead end. This bug has threatened our fragile global economy for years - and might have even destroyed this culture in a flash.
Is it any better today? unfortunately not. Now there are even bigger threats in the ugly shape of cyber-terrorism. Computer security is failing, and each click you are doing right now may be monitored by a hacker or a hostile agency right under your nose.
And why is that? All because NOBODY has taken the responsibility to make, distribute and use computers that have no bugs or security holes!
There are other computer-associated threats to the world, like computer viruses and software glitches that may erase all your virtual money from your virtual "safe" bank. These threats must be handled FAST.
Think about these threats for a minute. What do you think, in light of the situation,
what would be an acceptable solution in this case? I'll state my standpoint very clearly: a solution to the problem must be provided and put into use at the quickest possible pace - before the culture gets into apathy or sinks down so fast that it cannot adopt a sane solution anymore. Want a glimpse to such a possibility?
Check out how many companies have given up computer upgrades during 1999 because they were too busy handling (and heavily paying for) Y2K corrections and checkouts. I mean, IT professionals, as professional as they can get, can yet be so burdened that they cannot handle a severe situation at the last moment.
It's crazy. You lose, the future loses. Progress staggers years behind.
Another important aspect is that nobody today has a workable solution which is accepted worldwide. Do you know of one? Admit it, you don't. It's a mess out there... There are many local solutions, yes. But all efforts in the direction of UNIFORMITY have wound up in some improvements here and there, that eventually just created other problems and less uniformity...
A true solution must be based on knowing, really knowing, what can work for all users - and knowing how to implement it considering all aspects and limitations of the industry and its customers.
A true solution must arise from the strong and sincere caring of industry leaders AND users alike. It must start - and continue - as a solution aimed at efficiency and peace-of-mind to the user, not at profits upon more profits to some greedy billionaire. The implementation of such a solution can soon enough make its producers very rich and famous - but...
...but only if they NEVER fail to care for their customer much more than caring for their own pocket!!
BUT HERE'S THE GOOD NEWS:
Such a solution, based on 12+ years of deep-reaching research, has been found and is now offered to all the peoples of Earth. A solution which is not only technologically brilliant, but is also organized to let everybody win.
Looking at the current scene of computers, and the fierce war on terrorism, this innovative solution must be used on a NOW-OR-NEVER basis!
Whatever you do in life, whatever you know about computers right now - you can sure be of great help. No helping hand is one too many.
Your help is needed. Are you in?
Write directly to me, Ozzie, and tell me what you think and what YOU are willing to contribute. Tell me what you would like to get in exchange. Describe your skills and background in hi-tech/IT/computers. Give as many details as possible. I'll answer personally asap.
To finish off for today, I'll tip you with the words of a man I greatly admire, the highly industrious inventor - Thomas Alva Edison:
"Opportunity is missed by most people because it is dressed in overalls and looks like work."
Do YOU see an opportunity?
