Independent Fundraiser| Job Title: | IFR---Independent Fundraiser |

Duty:
To locate and secure support and income from donors within the USA and worldwide (including individual donors, government, the corporate sector, trusts and other grant-making bodies) in order to enable SCO to fulfill its identified goals.
Key Tasks:
- Research and identify a portfolio of prospective major donors from internal and external sources. Seek out new funding opportunities appropriate for SCO.
- Research, write and put together funding bids of a high quality.
- Maintain excellent relationships with existing funders including completing reports for funders.
- Keep accurate records of bids made and donations received.
- Remain up-to-date with all relevant aspects of SCO activities and needs.
- Develop a positive working relationship with other members of the Fundraising and Development Teams and with other teams across the organization.
Person Specification:
Experience
- Previous fundraising experience desirable, but not a must.
- Upgrading your fundraising skills: You'll recieve a complete training pack on CD, with all the necessary resources, training manuals, forms, templates and much more (your cost: only $1.00 +S&H).
Skills/Qualities
- Someone with a confident writing style and the ability to produce written proposals to a high standard.
- Excellent interpersonal, networking and communication skills and the ability to mix with a range of people.
- Sufficient understanding of finances in order to present and evaluate financial information.
- Ability to act on own initiative/self-motivated and to generate and implement new ideas.
- Good computer skills desirable.
Personal Qualities
- Ability to use judgment and common sense.
- Passionate commitment to the goals of SCO, energy and enthusiasm.
- Comfortable in working within the pioneering and fighting spirit of SCO.
- Willingness to learn. Commitment to personal and professional development.

Membership Development Officer
Job Title: CF-IC/MDO---Membership Development Officer
Job Description:
This function depends upon the completion of the *Membership Plan Development* function posted above. But it is so VITAL to our survival that an exception has been made to publish it beforehand.
The challenge of this job is to implement successfully and professionally our worldwide MEMBERSHIP PLAN, and to achieve a large, stable and expanding membership base. Will also be in charge of the Organization’s Central Files (the database of all members and subscribers).
