FI/C---Fundraising In-Charge

Finds outside donations for the Organization and organize fundraising opportunities, events, and online activities including the coordination of the Organization's fundraising activities and personnel.

Duties include: Obtains corporate sponsorship by maintaining contact with existing sponsors, identifying new sponsors for identified areas of the Organization's work and maintaining long term-support from these organizations. Assist with other Executive Directors initiatives as required, including the development and strategy for any major Fundraising Appeals [donations & grant applications]. Assist with membership development by identifying and implementing opportunities for recruitment of new members across the USA and worldwide. Works with existing member donors and develop ways to increase their support of the work of the Organization. Develops a range of fundraising events and funding activities in collaboration with the Development Manager by investigating and recommending new areas of funding and managing any ad-hoc and dedicated fundraising initiatives. Coordinates the online and offline activities of other fundraisers who are working in, with and for the Organization. Prepares annual and five-year income forecasts.

Requirements: 3+ years experience of fundraising preferably in the charitable sector. Proactive in seeking new business opportunities and can demonstrate a record of successful corporate support. Has excellent interpersonal skills and are a persuasive communicator. 2+ years experience of organizing and managing events. Has demonstrable negotiation skills, good presentation skills and can show successful management of long term business relationships. Able to use software packages for budget preparation and management. Highly self motivated and enjoys working as part of a team, but are also able to work independently. A strong commitment to the goals of the Organization as laid down elsewhere in the official website. Ability to understand the motivations of volunteers and experience of managing volunteers.
